10 Pump House Close, SE16
Hi, I live at 10 Pump House Close in Canada Water, SE16 in London. I’m guessing that you are looking at this blog as you are thinking about renting Flat 10 Pump House Close.
Firstly I like living in the area, it’s very handy for Canada Water tube station. The bus station is a little noisy though.
The flat itself is a little cold due to the type of building. It’s an old style warehouse, but according to the selective property licence it was built after the 1991 https://southwark.metastreet.co.uk/public-register/SWK-740027100666?_t=15011753.5487bc5b6ef72d9aa47b069f85e765074c76cabc. The main Pump House building is a grade 2 listed building. First listed in 1983. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1385816 It used to part
The coolness of the flat is great in summer, but it is cold in the winter.
The flat is on the first floor on the left in the photo, with the Juliette balcony. The balcony door don’t shut properly as they weren’t properly sealed so they are now warped, the one of the inside right is worse effected. Two different contractors confirmed this, the cost was high to do the job properly. The property owners decided to install a draft excluder on the inside of the door, which was about 10% effective. The process took three months overall, including two quotes from contractors. The draft excluder fell down within seven weeks.
